Avis de décès de Joseph-James Mackie

Following a courageous struggle with cancer and with his wife Debbi (nee Froehlich) at his side, passed peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2003 in the Almonte General Hospital at the age of 60. Son of the late Joseph Mackie and his wife the late Evelyn Nellie Kerr. Son-in-law of Hans and Leni Froehlich of Toronto. Nephew of Cecil Kerr and his wife Gladys and cousin of Susan Meagher (nee Kerr) and Michael Kerr of Winnipeg. Half-uncle to George Mackie of Vancouver and Valerie Mackie of Bolton. Honouring Jim's request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. Following Cremation, friends are invited to join the family in a celebration of Jim's life at the Almonte Presbyterian Church, 111 Church Street, Almonte on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 2 p.m. Reverend Jim Ferrier officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Almonte General Hospital or J. James Mackie Endowment for Scholarships in Telecommunications, Carleton University, Development Office, 510 Robertson Hall, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1S 5B6.
