JOSE RODRIGUEZ GARCIA "PEPE" EAST CHICAGO, IN Jose Rodriguez Garcia, age 82 of East Chicago, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago. He is survived by two daughters: Alicia (Ewart III) Garcia-Abner of Chicago and Diana (Anthony) Garcia-Burns of East Chicago; two grandchildren: Ashley and Anthony Garcia-Burns; five nephews: Carmello, Rolando, Rafael, John and Santiago; three nieces: Ramona, Gladys and Blanca; and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Florence; and most recently, his brother, Aristedes Rodriguez, who passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009 in New York. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Hungarian Church, 4758 Alexander Ave., East Chicago, IN with Fr. Alphonse Skerl celebrating the mass. Interment at Washington Memory Gardens, Homewood, IL. Visitation will be Friday, November 6, 2009 from 10:00- 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service at Holy Trinity Hungarian Church. Mr. Garcia was retired from LTV Steel and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Hinton & Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
