JOSE ANGEL GARCIA HAMMOND, IN Jose Angel Garcia, age 77, of Hammond, formerly of Chicago IL, graduated to heaven on Sunday October 31, 2010. He was born to Nazario and Maria Garcia in Durango, Mexico on January 22, 1933. Jose Garcia is survived by eight brothers and sisters; 12 children; and over 30 grandchildren. To know dad is to feel loved and very much cared for. As a hard worker in Mexico he decided to obtain a work and find the American dream in the USA. Dad worked as a construction worker for many years and was an entrepreneur in many areas. Dad leaves a wonderful legacy behind; first generation Christians and a family devoted to helping to further the cause of Christ. He was a member of the Great First Baptist Church of Hammond. Here the majority of his children are serving and helping in many ways to bring many people to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior and Lord. Visitation will be on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and Saturday from 9:00-10:00 at the church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, Hammond, IN.
