EVANS, Ga. - Deacon John Thomas Norman, 80, husband of the late Mrs. Louise Norman, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Pat as he was affectionately called joined Ebenezer Baptist Church, Lincolnton, Ga., at an early age. After moving to Evans, Ga., he became a member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He attended school in the Lincoln County School System and worked as a commercial truck driver for Murray Biscuit Company until retirement. He leaves to cherish fond loving memories his son, Thomas Carlton (Queen) Beard, Augusta, Ga; daughter, Kimmie Norman, Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Tiffany Moulton and Toccara (Derrick) Shine, Augusta, Ga., four great grandchildren; sister, Lucille (Walter) Talbert, McCormick, SC, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Monday, February 3, 2014, Mt. Enon Baptist Church, 4678 Washington Road, Evans, Ga., with Pastor John W. Harmon, officiating and Reverend Rickey G. Dent, presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 12 noon until the hour of service. The family will receive friends today (Sunday) from 5 to 7pm at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta. (706) 790-8858
