->John L. Farrell, of Englewood Florida, formerly of Holbrook, passed away July 13, surrounded by his family. He was 81 years old. Born and raised in Roxbury Son of the late John and Dorothy (Doyle) Farrell. He was a resident of Holbrook and Communicant of St. Joseph Church for 41 years spending the last 3 years in Florida. Mr. Farrell was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army. John was a Business agent for Local # 1445 Commercial Workers Food Union. He was a avid golfer, loved the Red Sox, Celtics and NY Giants and enjoyed traveling to Ireland. Beloved Husband of Helen J. (Travers), Father of John of Scituate, Brian and his Wife Margaret of Plymouth, Geraldine of East Bridgewater, Kathleen of Provincetown, also the late Kevin Farrell and Wife Linda of Rockland. He was the devoted Grandfather of Courtney, Taylor, Breanna, Kevin Patrick, Kiley, Brian Patrick, Lauren and Great Grandfather of Evan and Elizabeth. Funeral was from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rte. 37, Holbrook, Wednesday, July 18 at 8:15 am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, Holbrook at 9 a.m. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours were on Tuesday, July 17, from 4 - 8 p.m.
