KENDALL, JOHN EDWARD, 62, of Dataw Island, SC, and husband of Sharron Sharp Kendall, died Friday, January 15, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Kendall was born November 8, 1947 in Ekron, KY. He is the son of Martha Meyer Bugg. Mr. Kendall was a member of the Sea Island Presbyterian Church. He was a chemical engineer with Union Carbide Corp. He served our country in the Air National Guard. He was a graduate of the University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering. He coached girls' church basketball and girls' AAU basketball teams. Surviving in addition to his wife, Sharron; and his mother, Martha, both of Dataw Island, SC; are one daughter, Jaime Jones and husband, John Jones, of Elkview, WV; and one brother, Bennie L. Kendall Jr. and wife, Jeanne Kendall, of Louisville; and two grandchildren, Garrett and Zackary. A celebration of John's life will be held 4-6 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010 at The Old Towne Coffeehaus, 914 Paris Ave, Port Royal, SC 29935 (843) 379-2332. Anderson Funeral Home, Beaufort, SC, is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Friends of Caroline Hospice, 1110 13th Street, Port Royal, SC 29935.
