->Kearney, John E. (Jack)John E. Kearney (Jack), age 61, of Somers, NY, died on Monday, July 25, 2011. Born on September 6, 1949 in Queens, NY, Jack is the son of Marie (Lange) Kearney and the late John J. Kearney.Jack is a graduate of Marist College and served as a Seaman First Class in the U.S. Navy. He later became co-owner of J.T. Lynne Representatives Inc., Elmsford, NY.Jack is survived by his wife Renee; his mother Marie; his brother Dennis; sister Kathleen, and his son John Joseph (Johnnie), as well as two daughters Sharron and Jennifer that he shares with his late wife, Lynne. Jack is also survived by his grandsons, Jake and Ryan, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly.Jack was the embodiment of selfless generosity towards his family and friends. He was always thinking of ways to make those he loved happy and the beneficiaries of such kindness were innumerable. Jack also enjoyed giving back to his community as both a sports coach and as a member of Somers Educational Fund. As a dedicated family man, he reveled in spending time with his children and watching his son, Johnnie, play sports was pure joy to him. Always quick with a joke, Jack's rapier-like wit will be missed by all who knew him.Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, July 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 29 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 284 East Main St., Smithtown, NY. Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John J. Kearney College Fund.
