CENTER BARNSTEAD- Joanne Marie Sargent, 71, of North Road, died Tuesday, June 12, 2011 at the Lakes Region General Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Pittsfield, the daughter of Maurice L. and Thelma (Chagnon) Mayotte and lived in this area all her life. She had many hobbies including, sewing, arts, crafts and flea markets.She is survived by her husband of 55 years, R. Royce Sargent of Center Barnstead; six children, Debra Morin of Northfield, Dolly Batchelder of Meredith, Russell Sargent Jr. of Holderness, Donna Sargent, Jay Sargent and Samuel Sargent, all of Center Barnstead; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Madeline "Blondie" Esburnett and Roberta Linscott; and two brothers, Francis "Butch" Mayotte and Maurice "Tubby" Mayotte .Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Perkins & Pollard Memorial Home, 60 Main St., Pittsfield. A graveside service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Floral Park Cemetery, Pittsfield. The Rev. Brian Gower, Pastor of the Center Barnstead Christian Church will officiate.
