Joann Ray Farmer Joann Ray Farmer, 63, a domestic service worker and dietitian's aide, died Sunday, April 13, 2003. The service will be at 2 p.m. EDT Saturday at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, with burial at Southside Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT Friday at the Farmers' home, 7857 Talley Ann Drive.Strong & Jones Funeral Home in Tallahassee (224-2139) is handling arrangements. She was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee. She was a former member of St. John AME Church and St. Mary Primitive Baptist Church No. 1. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Farmer and Michael Farmer, both of Tallahassee; three daughters, Claudette Lorraine Farmer, Shirley Williams (and husband Bobby) and Phoebe Davis (and husband Clarence), all of Tallahassee; a brother, Tommy Burgess (and wife Louise) of Thomson, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Ray and Salley McCrae, and a sister, Virgie Bruce.
