GODSELL, Joan Winifred - Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Monday, May 26th, 2008, Joan Godsell (nee Parsons) at 87 years young. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Godsell. Cherished mother of Christopher Godsell (Catherine), Debbie Gledhill (Jim), and Wendy Raynor (Kenneth). Dear grandmother of Jennifer, Andrew, David, Sarah, and Emily. Great grandmother of Mason, Andrew, Hannah, and Claire. Sister of Dorothy Searle, Anthony Parsons, Robert Parsons, Frank Parsons, Betty Parsons, the late Bert Rees, and the late Charles Parsons. Joan was a member of 401 Wing Air Force, Probus, Cobourg Lawn Bowling, a bridge playing enthusiast, a proud supplier of Christmas Teddy Bears to the Salvation Army, and an active member of the community. A Memorial Service will be held at MacCOUBREY FUNERAL HOME, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Saturday, May 31st, at 2 pm. Interment to follow at the Heritage Cemetery of St. Peter. Visitation to be held at the funeral home on Saturday for one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 pm.
