Jean Reid April 10, 1930 - March 5, 2014Jean Reid (nee Mackenzie) passed away into eternity in the arms of her loving family in her own home at the age of 83 years. Jean's life is fondly remembered by her beloved husband Duncan Reid, her son Duncan (Marilyn) Reid, son Frank Reid and daughter Catherine Blok. Mom's greatest joy was her three grandchildren, Neil and Kelsey Reid and special grandson Alexander Blok. Jean was born in Carlea, Saskatchewan and at a young age immigrated to Stornoway, Scotland with her family. In 1965, Jean returned to Canada with her husband and children and settled into family life in Nipawin Saskatchewan, retiring to Saskatoon in 1997. Jean is remembered for having a kind and generous spirit, befriending and caring for many people in her community. Jean also enjoyed gardening, knitting and had a great fondness for animals. Her wit and humour will be fondly remembered in the telling of many family stories. Our family thanks the Palliative Home Care RN's and Lynda Smallwood for the care and concern shown to Jean and our family. And so we say goodbye to our beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
