NESBITT _ Jean Marion (McKenzie) born April 29, 1900 in Corunna, Ont. passed away peacefully April 17, 2006 in South Surrey, B.C. Jean was predeceased by her husband David, sister Lena, sons Gore, Burrell, and Dave, infant daughter Marion, and daughter-in-law Rose. Remembered with love by her son Jackson; grandchildren Carol, Colleen, David (Alaide), Joan, James and Jill (Michel); great grandsons Keith, Logan, and Kieran; daughter-in-law Dolly; sisters-in-law Lena and Aileen; close friend Ruth Campbell; as well as extended family and friends. Jean spent her early childhood on a ranch near Milk River, Alberta, before moving to Vancouver in 1910. She was a long-term B.C. Tel employee and continued her involvement following retirement through the B.C. Tel Pioneers. An exceptional role model, she was gracious, kind, positive in outlook, and until reaching her late 90s, traveled and lived life to its fullest. She was a loving mother, a "perfect mother-in-law", and a wonderful Nana and Grandma. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at South Granville Park Lodge and Westminster House for the exceptional care she received in recent years. A celebration of life will be held Monday, April 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Memorial Chapel, 602 Kingsway, Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
