MAHONEY, JANET LOUISE (RITCHIE) Janet Louise (Ritchie) Mahoney of Morinville, AB, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Sturgeon Community Hospital, on October 31, 2003 at the age of 68. Janet will be lovingly remembered by her mother Sylvia Ritchie of Woodstock, NB; two sons, Wilf (Lori) Mahoney, Steve (Beth) Mahoney; grandsons Ryan and Jarrod, all in Alberta, three brothers: Elbert (Winona) Ritchie, Ellis (Patricia) Ritchie, Roland H. (Eleanore) Ritchie; one sister, Joy (Donnell) O'Brien all of New Brunswick; also numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Janet was predeceased by her father Roland E. Ritchie who died in 1982. Janet was born in Woodstock, NB, lived in St. Andrews and worked at the Biological Station, from there moved to Saint John and worked for the Rocca Group. Janets' last stop was to Woodstock where she worked at The Motor Vehicle & Revenue Office until she retired due to health reasons. Seven years ago Janet went for a visit to Alberta and decided to stay with her family. Janet was a member of the Anglican Church, Rebekah Lodge, Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion (Woodstock) and will be remembered for her many contributions. A private service was held for family and close friends at the Sturgeon Memorial Chapel in Bon Accord, AB on November 1, 2003. A memorial service will take place Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Sturgeon Memorial Chapel, Bon Accord, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to the Sturgeon Hospital Foundation - Unit 18, 201 Boudreau Road, St. Albert, AB, T8N 6C4 or Aspen House, 9706-100 Avenue, Morinville, AB, T8R 1T2 or Ritchie / Hillman Cemetery, c/o 106 Ritchie Road, Ritchie, NB E6H 1H2.
