Jane Alley, 55     HAMPDEN -- Jane Alley, 55, died peacefully Sept. 19, 2007, at her home, surrounding by her loving family and many, many close friends. She was born Nov. 18, 1951, in Bangor, daughter of Fredrick Clayton and Margaret Alice (Sperry) Bradbury. Jane was a tireless fan of Marianne's activities, both field hockey and cheering and became her son-in-law, Travis' biggest baseball fan. She was employed for 29 years in the administrative offices of the Dead River Company, Bangor. Jane was treasurer and a committee member of the Hampden Children's Day for over 15 years, treasurer for Boosters for Classic Cheering for several years, a Girl Scout Leader, Troop #140 and enjoyed card tournaments with her friends since 1998. Jane was also a loyal Red Sox and Patriots fan and a frustrated Celtics supporter all her life.      Surviving are her husband, John K. Alley of Hampden; two children, Marianne E. Tripp, her husband Travis and family pet Roxy of Bar Harbor, and Paul A. Alley of Hampden; one sister, Carol A. Conley and her husband James of South Portland; one brother, Charles E. Bradbury III and his wife Carol Coman of California; four nieces, Ann Russ, Anne Bradbury Thorsen, Mary Bradbury and Amber Alley; five nephews, David Zografos, C.J. Bradbury, Jim Bradbury, Bobby Bradbury and Andrew Alley; a brother-in-law, Robert Alley and sister-in-law, Ellen Savage and her husband Terry all of Mount Desert Island; many, many friends and Jane's canine companion Molly. She was predeceased by her parents and Sammy, her faithful sidekick. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor where a funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, with the Rev. Dr. Rex H. Garrett, director of chaplaincy services at EMMC, officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor after the services Saturday.
