James W. Jordan, 81, Bradenton and formerly of Sarasota, died Jan. 9, 2006. He was born April 19, 1924, in South Weymouth, Mass., and came to Sarasota in 1992 from the Chicago area. He moved to Bradenton in 1997. He was a sales representative for General Electric and Black & Decker. He received a bachelor's degree from Boston University. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Helaine C.; a daughter, Andrea of Elgin, Ill.; a son, Keith of Forestville, Calif.; a sister, Jackie of Summit, N.J.; and 10 grandchildren. Memorial service will be at First Congregational Church of Algonquin, Ill. National Cremation Society, Sarasota, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation Inc., Attn: Mary Ann Sprinkle, Director of Development, 1501 N.W. Ninth Ave., Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
