James Luther (Jimmy) Tanner, 69 of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. at the residence located at 515 Quail Trail in Auburn. Mr. Tanner was a member of Alcovy Baptist Church of Lawrenceville. He was also a member of UAW and NRA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Lee and Odie Estelle Tanner. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Dean Tanner; children: James (Jim) Jr. and Pamela Dean Tanner of Auburn, David Lee and Patricia Ann Tanner of South Carolina and Penny Diane Tanner or Auburn; adopted daughter, Kimberley Dawn Taylor of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law, Robert C. and Margaret Tanner of Auburn; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Harris Thompson of South Carolina; grand-children, Dustin James and Michelle Gwen Gibson Tanner and David Leeland Tanner and expecting great-grandchild; great-grandchildren, Kimberleigh Gwen Tanner, Emma Jo Danielle Tanner and Allie Colleen Tanner; and several nieces and nephews.
