James R. Patterson Rexford James R. Patterson, 88, of the Coburg Village in Rexford, died on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Schuyler Ridge in Clifton Park. He was born on Dec. 5, 1926 in Chicago, IL and was the son of the late Paul and Laura Smith Patterson. He has been a resident of Clifton Park since 1966. Jim was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Jim was a chemistry graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He was employed for 16 years as a research chemist for Neville Chemical Company in Pittsburgh and for 24 years as a technical specialist for GE Silicone in Waterford, NY. He was the devoted husband of Peggy S. Patterson; beloved father of Diane A. (Ted) Peltier of Colonie and Mark J. (Kathy) Patterson of Thornton, CO; brother of Jan Patterson of Atlanta, GA, Martha Carvell of Fulton, MD and Virginia Hartwig of SC; grandfather of Christine, Julie, Dan and Alyssa; great-grandfather of Cecelia and Chloe; also survived by several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. George's Episcopal Church in Clifton Park. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the mass in the library of the church. Interment with full military honors will be in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
