James (Jim) P. Jordan, age 64, of Marshfield, formaly of Swinford, County Mayo, Ireland, passed away at the Brigham and Womens Hospital on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010. The beloved husband of Noreen (Harrington), he is survived by his son Jimmy and his wife Kristin of Quincy, and his son Michael of Quincy. He is also survived by his grandson James Patrick III. He leaves behind his sister Mary Kane and her husband Thomas, his sister Bridget Burke and her late husband Thomas, his late sister Linda O'Malley and her late husband James, his brother Michael Jordan and his wife Frances, his sister Patricia Brennan and her husband Michael. Jim is survived by 8 nieces and his late neice Linda Burke, he is also survived by 5 nephews. Jim owned and operated J. Jordan Construction Inc. for over 33 years and built many homes on the South Shore and Cape Cod. He was known for his quick wit and his love for family. The Jordan family would like to thank Dr. Richard S. Swanson and his team who gave Jim such great care over the past few weeks. Also a special thank you to Dr. Robert Soiffer and his team who performed his bone marrow transplant in 2001 and gave continuous care and treatment up until Jim's passing. Jim will be missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Visiting hours were on Thursday, Dec 16 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield. Funeral was from the MacDonald Funeral Home at 9 a.m Friday, December 17, followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield.
