Avis de décès de James-M. O-Grady


James M. O'Grady, 81      PORTLAND -- James M. O'Grady, 81, of 452 Deering Avenue, Portland, died June 28, 2006, after a long illness.     He was born in Detroit, Mich. on Jan. 18,1925, the son of David and Cecelia O'Grady, and was educated in local schools.     He served in the 17th Airborne during World War II and received a purple heart for injuries sustained in the Battle of the Bulge in January of 1945.     He went on to graduate from the University of Miami with a degree in Education in 1953 and later received his master's in Education from the Central Connecticut State College in 1962.     He spent several years teaching in both Miami and Connecticut public schools before moving to Michigan where in 1974 he retired as Assistant Principal of West Junior High School in Taylor.     In 1977, he moved to Harrison, before moving to Portland in 1982, where he spent the remainder of his life.     He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha Flint of West Baldwin; and his children, Colleen O'Grady of Las Vegas, Nev., Brian of East Hiram, Kevin of South Portland, Bridget (Webb) Dickson of Westford, Mass; his grandchildren, Mathy Matturro of Brewer, Vincent Matturro of Sanford, Fla., and Daniel O'Grady of Sebago.     He will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery in the fall.     Arrangements are under the guidance of Independent Death Care, 471 Deering Avenue, Portland.    James M.
