BAIRD, James Harvey RSM Retired, Veteran of WWII (Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa) September 21, 1920- July 30, 2006 Surrounded by love, Jim left us at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre in his 86th year. Predeceased by his parents James and Elizabeth Baird, and nine brothers and sisters. Beloved husband for sixty years of Jeanne (Carriere). Loving father of Elizabeth (Paul Finnigan). Proud and devoted Pops of Christopher and Timothy Finnigan. Jim will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, friends and members of his military family who were a big part of his life. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway, on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2006.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre would be appreciated.
