OBITUARY JACQUES BARBEAU Peacefully, on February 7, 2008, Jack passed away after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. He will be remembered for his love of life, his quick wit and a true appreciation for the outdoors, especially fishing. Jack loved great food, great wine and great conversation. His last days surrounded by family and friends were a wonderful homage to his pride of being and to his courageous spirit. Jack leaves his beloved wife Diane, as well as his first wife Rita and their children: daughters Andi (Jim) and Adele (Bruce), and sons Luc, Guy (Joy) and Pete (Melody). Bubba Jacques will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Genevieve, Quinn, Camille, Sabine, Sam, Philippe, Thomas, Alexander and Sophie. Jack is survived by his loving sister Fran and he also leaves a legacy of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. A memorial in celebration of Jack's life will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the World Wildlife Fund would be greatly appreciated. "Lay on, MacDuff, and damn'd be him that first cries, Hold, Enough!"
