Jack N. Thomas Loving husband, father and poppy VICTOR - Jack N. Thomas, age 68, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at F.F. Thompson Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Meme Thomas; son, J. J. (Kathy) Thomas; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher and Katie; sister-in-law, Linda (Lou) Mortuiccio; and several nieces and nephews, including Christine (Michal) Johnson and Wendy (Jim) Passalugo. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Jerry Thomas. Jack was born in Elmira, N.Y. and was the son of Robert and Ruth (Nichols) Thomas. He was raised in Rushville, attended Middlesex schools and was a graduate of Middlesex Valley Central School, class of 1962. Jack attended Mohawk Valley Technical College. He worked in the engineering department at Burroughs Corporation in Rochester and Standard Register in Dayton, Ohio, for a total of 32 years. Jack was active in the Boy Scouts and coached Little League baseball and junior bowling. He was an active member of the Jaycees and Midlakes Band Boosters. Jack enjoyed backpacking, hiking, camping, golfing, motorcycling and sports cars. He will be remembered as a gentle, kind man with a unique sense of humor. Friends may call tomorrow (Thursday) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at United Church, 11 Gibson St., Canandaigua. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua.
