JACKSON, S.C. - Graveside services for Mr. Jack Brinkley Ritchie will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 2pm at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Jackson, SC. South Carolina Cremation & Burial Society is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Southern Care Hospice, 35 Varden Dr, Aiken, SC, 29803. Mr. Ritchie, 77 of Jackson, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Barnwell County, SC he was the son of the late Edward and Nell Pitts Ritchie. He lived in various cities before moving to Jackson in 1960. He retired after twenty five years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the state of South Carolina. He liked to fish and travel. He was devoted to his wife, Gloria for over forty four years. He was a loyal friend to all. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Gloria Stallings Ritchie. He is survived by his brothers, Larry Rentz of St. Simons Island, GA; James Ritchie of Sulphur, LA, cousins, Shirley Reeves of Aiken; Ronnie Rountree of Jackson, several nieces and nephews.
