Family-Placed Funeral Notice JOHN J. FAHEY, JR. “CAPTAIN JACK” February 28, 1923 - March 28, 2006 Jack was born and raised in Queens, New York. He left Fordham College to enlist in the Army Air Corp where as captain he flew the B-24 Liberator with the 43rd Bomb Group in the Pacific theatre. After WWII he married Carolyn and had three children; John, Peter and Kathleen. Living on the north shore of Long Island, he was an international captain for TWA. Upon retirement Jack and his family moved to Singer Island, Florida in 1983. Jack was a peaceful man who loved to sing, laugh, play golf and be with his family. He was predeceased by his first wife Carol and son John. He is survived by a second wife, Ruth Lange Fahey, two children; Peter and Kathleen Fahey, and two sisters; Joan McCarthy and Virginia Fulcher, nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, April 1, 2006 11:00 am at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, North Palm Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407.
