J. Bernard Ferland May 9, 1934 - May 12, 2008 THOMPSON - J. Bernard G. Ferland, 74, of 500 Riverside Drive, Pineview Court, North Grosvenordale, died Monday, May 12, in Haven Health Center, Danielson, after an illness. He was born May 9, 1934, in North Grosvenordale, a son of Doriller and Orianna (Desautels) Ferland and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of Saint Joseph's Church. He enjoyed his new Subaru, whist parties in Rogers, CT, and his visits to the casino. He leaves a brother, Rene Ferland, Sr. and his wife Helen Ferland of Putnam; an aunt, Jeanne Desautels of Dayville; his cousin and care giver, Muriel L. Lariviere of Webster, MA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger Ferland and by his sister-in-law Betty (Dinsdale) Ferland, and, in 2006, by his nephew Rene Ferland, Jr., of Buffalo, NY. The funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 14, at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 18 Main Street, North Grosvenordale. After cremation, burial will be private in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
