THOMAS -Irene. Born in Lucky Lake in 1916 and passed away in Saskatoon 2008... Finally pain free and reunited with her Billy and grandson Chad. She leaves happy and loving memories with Gaylene Burfitt, Mae (Mike) Juleff, Glenn (Bonnie) Thomas and Lloyd (Judy) Thomas. The best Nana to Niki, Jacki, Jaylene, Mark, Garth, Blair and Kerri and their partners, also six very special great grandchildren; Kali, Breanna, Katie, Garrett, Haylee and Hunter. Irene is also survived by her brother Lawrence (Irene) Tharp, and sister-in-law Mildred Thomas and many nieces and nephews, also Carmie, Maxine, Edna and many other extended family members who shared our home. Mom will always be remembered for her sense of humour, her butter tarts and her hangers. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre, Quality Care Home and St. Paul's Hospital (5th floor medical) for the special care given to Mom. In lieu of flowers, Irene wishes donations be made to the Saskatoon Chapter Osteoporosis Canada, #24 Market Mall, 2325 Preston Ave., Saskatoon SK, S7J 2G2 or the charity of your choice. A celebration of Irene's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338-4th Ave. North, Saskatoon.
