STIRLING - Irene Dorothy Owens , 80, died Saturday February 24, 2007. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the wife of the late John B. Stirling and a daughter of the late Arthur Edward and Florence Cook Owens. Mrs. Cochrane was a homemaker and a member of Saint Michael's Episcopal Church. Surviving are her husband, Leonard Cochrane, of Greenville; two sons, Arthur Edward Rogers, of Lindenhurst, N.Y. and Charles William Rogers, of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Anita Irene Valentin, of Easley, S.C. and Jill Ann Stirling-Kuhl, of Selden, N.Y.; three sisters, Doris Kurzius, of Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y., Marjorie Sulek, of Norfolk, VA; and Mildred Alisi, of Fort Myers, FL; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Memorial Services will be 3:00 PM Saturday March 3, 2007 at Saint Michael's Episcopal Church with the Reverend Jim Workman officiating. The family is at the home of Anita and Val Valentin, 103 Windamere Road, Easley. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Saint Michael's Episcopal Church, 1200 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.
