Ida Mae Lynn Tapp, 94, of 375 Jordan Road, widow of R.G. Tapp, died December 30, 2009 at McCall Hospice House.A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Boyce W. and Minnie Thompson Lynn, she was a graduate of Mountain View High School, a retired employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing and a member of Washington Baptist Church.Surviving are two daughters, Mavis Blackmon of Lyman and Judy Holland of Greenville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Buddy and Ida Tapp of Clinton and Gene and Debbie Tapp of Greer; two sisters, Elmina Sturgill and Joanna Hand, both of Lyman; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Mrs. Tapp was predeceased by six brothers: Colie Lynn, Roy Lynn, Sloan Lynn, Rudd Lynn, Ralph Lynn, and Don Lynn; and five sisters: Vergie Bishop, Vada Hendrix, Velma Jones, and Marcelle Crain.A special thanks to her caregivers, Rae Mills, Jean Green, and Greta Greer and the staff of the Sterling House.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Washington Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Joe Price. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Pallbearers will be Robert Lynn, Ronald Lynn, Larry Lynn, Gary Hand, David Crain, and Guy Jones.Honorary escort will be the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class.Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary.The family is at the home of her son, Gene Tapp, 2106 N.
