Herbert H. Abbottof Conway, NH, ties to Lowell, MA; 85 CONWAY, NH -- Herbert H. Abbott, 85, of Conway, NH, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at Mineral Springs Health Care in North Conway, NH.He was born July 16, 1929 in Lyme, NH, the son of the late Freeman A. and Sarah Hannaford, and had lived in Freedom, NH for many years before moving to Conway, NH in 1973.Herbert had worked as a mill worker for International Paper Company for several years.He was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte (Burgess) Abbott in 2013, and two grandsons, George Webster, Jr., of Conway, NH, and Wayne Varney of Lowell, MA. He is survived by his step daughter, Marguerite "Peggy" Ruskey and her husband, William, Lowell, MA; and his grandchildren, Cyndi Varney-Bray and her husband, Robert; Kelly Barchard and her husband, Donald; Holly Ruskey; and William Ruskey Jr.; as well as her six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a sister, Viola Abbott of Wolfeboro, NH.ABBOTT -- Calling hours will be Friday, October 31, 2014 from 2 - 4 p.m. at Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee, NH. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Conway Village Congregational Church, Main Street, Conway, NH. Burial will be in the Conway Village Cemetery, Conway, NH.
