Avis de décès de Henry-Wesley Faulkner

Services for Buddy Faulkner will be held on Tuesday at noon at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Randy Rigdon and William Buckner officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Faulkner, age 66, of Destin, Fla., died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, in Alabama. Buddy was born in Meridian, Miss., in 1942. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1962, East Mississippi Community College in 1964, and Mississippi State University in 1966. He earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from MSU and later added a master of business administration from the University of Alabama in Decatur. Buddy's early years in the work force were primarily in engineering and manufacturing assignments with large corporations. Later his career evolved into the area of sales and marketing, where he specialized in consulting and training. His clients, most of which were Fortune 500 Companies, literally spanned the globe. Most recently, Buddy was actively involved with Vistage Corp. in recruiting and mentoring groups of small business CEO's throughout the Florida Panhandle and Southern Alabama. He had just recently accepted a position with the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to teach International Marketing and Economics next spring. Buddy loved sports and lettered in baseball and football while at Meridian High School. At EMCC he excelled in both football and baseball, was a team captain, and is today in the EMCC Sports Hall of Fame. While at MSU, Buddy developed a love for golf, which he never lost. Buddy was one of the top supporters and fundraisers for "all things EMCC" and had been instrumental in establishing the "Excellence in Golf" initiative at the Golden Triangle Campus. Buddy served on the MSU Engineering Advisor Board where he provided expertise to the board in the area of entrepreneuring. For his work in this capacity he received the "MSU Engineering Alumni of the Year Award." He was a board member of the Canaan Recovery Foundation, a ministry for women recovering from substance abuse, located in Freeport, Fla. Buddy was a member of the Cameron Club at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Miss. He was a member of the Episcopal Church and actively participated in a weekly Bible study with men in his community. Buddy loved his family and close friends dearly. He was the one people turned to in times of need or hardship. He would give freely of his time, energy, money or just his mind to any cause he deemed worthy or any loved one in need. He was a rock to his children, a brother to his friends and wonderful husband. He was a tremendously passionate man who, later in life, loved to spend time with his grandchildren River, Bella and London. He was an avid reader, a lover of music and poetry, a prodigious philanthropist - truly he was a modern renaissance man and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife, Tina Arnold Faulkner of Destin, Fla.; daughter, Stacy Faulkner Ruckert and her husband Christian; son, Steven Wales Faulkner, both of Atlanta; grandchildren, River Christian Faulkner, Bella Raine Ruckert and London Wales Ruckert, all of Atlanta; brother, Benjamin Wales Faulkner Jr. and wife Glenda of Bartow, Fla.; sisters, Mary Alice Sharp and husband Larry of Bradenton, Fla., and Jacqulin Louise Hay and husband Wallace of Leary, Ga.
