PEARSON Henry E. (Ed) Pearson, age 72, of Stratford, died on Saturday, August 7, 2004, at home. Born in Stamford he was the son of the late Henry and Julia Pearson. He was a self-employed graphic designer and had been a Stratford resident for more than 40 years. Ed was a Korean War veteran serving his country in the U. S. Army where he was assigned to the 40th infantry division at the base of the Iron Triangle in Kumwha Valley Korea. He received many Presidential metals and citations. He was vice president of the Stratford Community Arts Council and vice president of the Children's Theatre in Stratford and he along with his wife organized and directed the children's theatre work shop. Also he was the coordinator of several Stratford shows. Survivors include his beloved wife former State Representative, Marilyn Pearson; and several nieces and nephews; and trusted friends, Williams and Kathy Raino. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at 1 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street. Burial will be private. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the family through the funeral home.
