Funeral for Helen Leonard Williamson, 72, of Tanner will be Monday, Jan. 26, 2004, at 11 a.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Dr. Glenn Conner officiating.Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Williamson died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born July 27, 1931, in Limestone County to Guy Leonard and Hattie Lou Nelson Leonard. She was retired from Tanner High School after 15 years of service, where she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper. Mrs. Williamson was a member of First United Methodist Church in Athens. Survivors include her husband Hoyt E. Williamson Sr.; three sons, Hoyt E. “Buster” Williamson Jr. and wife Celia B. of Decatur, James A. Williamson and wife Teresa T. of Decatur, and Scott T. Williamson and wife Rhonda M. of Madison; nine grandchildren, Benjamin Williamson, Brian Williamson, Jimbo Williamson, Andrew Williamson, John Williamson, Alex Williamson, Philip Williamson, Camryn Williamson and Jakob Williamson; and two sisters, Trudye Russell of Decatur, and Ida Dubuisson of Nashville.Pallbearers will be grandchildren.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
