ObituaryHELEN K. PARKITHACA - Helen K. Park, age 89, of Ithaca and formerly from Elmira, died Friday evening at Lakeside Nursing Home in Ithaca. Mrs. Park was born February 12, 1917 in Hammondsport, a daughter of the late Lee and Hilda Walstrom Sprague. Her husband, the late John M. Park Sr., died in 1971. She was a retired machine operator from Remington Rand Co. in Elmira.Survivors include her children, Jack Berchak, Carl Berchak, Steven Berchak, Henry Berchak and John Park Jr.; two stepchildren, Leslie Park and Richard Park; two sisters, Hazel Carl and Ann Smith; several grandchildren.Friends and family may call Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the Herson Funeral Home. The Rev. Leo Reinhardt will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
