Helen M. Jennings was born in New York City in 1928 to Delia Hennigan and Patrick McLoughlin. She was raised in Riverdale and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers. In 1949, Helen graduated from The College of Mount Saint Vincent with a BS in Business Administration. She received a Master Degree in Special Education. She taught elementary education at P.S. 81 in Riverdale, NY and at Sts. John and Paul School in Larchmont. Helen worked for over 30 years as a realtor in Larchmont for Burbank Whittemore. Mrs. Jennings is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph A Jennings and two children, Michael (Debbi) of Larchmont, NY and Tony (Dawn) of Virginia, and three grandchildren Charlotte, Claudia and Sydney. Helen is survived by two sisters, Catherine M. Nowicki of Nanuet, NY and Theresa M. Colloton of Ridgefield, CT. She was predeceased by her daughter, Ellen, her twin sister Mary E. Noyer, and her brother, Patrick T. McLoughlin. The Jennings moved to Larchmont in the 1960's where they raised their two children. Helen was a member of the Town of Mamaroneck Board of Assessment Review for nine years and just received a proclamation from Town Supervisor Valerie M. O'Keeffe and the Town Board members for her many years of service to the community. She was a parishioner of Sts. John and Paul Church and the Jennings are members of Winged Foot Country Club. A wake will be held at Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Road, Larchmont, on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. John & Paul Church, 280 Weaver Street, Larchmont on Friday, August 21st at 10 AM.
