<!-- FH = Lawrence-Sorensen, 731-424-2424 --><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Helen Elizabeth Attaway SaundersHelen Elizabeth Attaway Saunders, age 90, of Jackson, Tennessee, died peacefully at her home on October 5, 2013 surrounded by her family.Helen was one of two daughters born to Mattie Pearl Barnes Attaway and William Milton Attaway. She lived her entire life in Jackson and was a member of First Baptist Church where she married. Helen graduated from Jackson High School in 1941 and worked for the Milan Arsenal and JC Bradford and Company. She married Dr. Andrew B. Saunders Sr. in 1950 and they celebrated 63 years of marriage in June of this year.Helen will be remembered for her love of people and all of the families they met during the course of her husband's dental practice. She devoted her life to her husband, their four children and their families.Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ruby Pearl Attaway Morton.She is survived by her husband, Dr. Andrew Saunders, Sr., one son, Andy Saunders (Anna) of Knoxville, TN; three daughters, Jane Cox (Dave) of Jackson, Bonnie Nichols (Steve) of Oxford, MS, Kay Hopper (Jimmy) of Brentwood, TN; six grandchildren, Libby Hicks, Shelby Fisher, Jeff Nichols, Carrie Hatter, Jennifer Maldonado and Shannon Robertson; eleven great-grandchildren; one niece, Marcia Dame and one nephew, John Loudermilk.The family would like to thank Hospice of West Tennessee for their care and support and the wonderful caregivers for compassionate and loving care of our beloved wife and mother.In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Hospice of West Tennessee, 1804 Highway 45 By-Pass, Suite 100, Jackson, TN 38305.Visitation will be held today from 4-6 pm at the Funeral Home.
