Homemaker AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Hazel G. Patton, 79, of Augusta, beloved wife and mother, entered into rest on Wednesday August 9, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 11, 2006 in Platt's Crawford Ave. Chapel with Dr. Greg DeLoach officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband Aldine Patton; four sons, Thomas A. Patton and wife Sally of Martinez, Lawrence E. Patton and wife Kay of Martinez, Bradley D. Patton of Huntersville, NC, and William R. Patton and wife Beth of Bluffton, SC; one daughter, Billie Jett Black and husband Greg Ruddell of McCormick SC; three brothers, Robey D. Greene, Edward L. Greene, and Jesse L. Greene all of Morganton, NC; and four grandchildren, Will Patton, Andy Patton, Brant Patton and Grace Patton. Mrs. Patton was a former State Delegate and past officer for the Richmond County Republican Party. She was a member of the Metropolitan Woman's Club and Bridge Club. She also enjoyed golf, fishing, college football, and the Atlanta Braves. She devoted her entire life to her family. Perhaps her greatest accomplishments were raising her children and watching over her grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Will Patton, Andy Patton, Brant Patton, Todd Greene, Lindsay Thetford, and Bill McCallie. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Rd.
