DUNPHY, HARRY W. The death of Harry Woodford Dunphy occurred January 21, 2007 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Nashwaak Village, Harry was the son of the late Woodford (Jennie Mae Gordon) Dunphy. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Harry was a graduate from the Guelph Agricultural College. During the Second World War he was a butter and cheese producer. Following his dairy years he was a carpenter until retirement. He was a deacon, Sunday School Superintendent and a charter member of the Grace Memorial Baptist Church, and Capital Credit Union. He is survived by his two sons Paul (Judith) and Carl (Brenda) Dunphy, all of Fredericton; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years Beatrice "Betty" Hanson, one daughter Patricia; son-in- law Angus Mattatall; four sisters and two brothers. There will be no visitation by request of the family. The funeral service will be held from Grace Memorial Baptist Church on Friday, January 26th 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating.
