Harry T. Coughlin , 84, died October 23, 2006 at Kingsbridge V.A. Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born in Troy, NY the son of Thomas and Margaret (Leonard) Coughlin, and was a graduate of St. Peter's Academy and LaSalle Military Institute in Troy, as well as a member of one of the first graduating classes of Siena College. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe from 1943 to 1946 and was veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. On St. Valentines Day 1953, he married Rita A. Siple in Watervliet, NY. They lived in Dobbs Ferry for 53 years and Harry was a merchandising executive with Cluett, Peabody & Company his entire career. An active member of a number of Sacred Heart Parish groups over the years, he always enjoyed assisting young people, in particular, in any way he could. He provided devoted care to his beloved wife over her years of illness before she predeceased him, on December 16, 2005. He is survived by his loving family, sons Thomas(Barbara) and Christopher (Sheila) both of Tarrytown, and Michael of Waukesha, WI: his beloved grandchildren, Clare, Patrick, Matthew and Kerry, all of Tarrytown; and his cousins Ann Egan, of Albany. His parents and his sister Peggy Coughlin predeceased him. Mass of the Resurrection 9:30AM Friday Sacred Heart Church, Dobbs Ferry.
