THOMAS _ Grace 1918 - 2004 Grace Thomas of Calgary passed away at the Forest Grove Care Centre on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at the age of 86 years. Grace was born on June 12, 1918 in Haydock, Lancashire, England. She married David Emlyn Thomas after World War II in England where they lived for most of their lives. Emlyn and Grace immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1950 where their son was born. They returned to Haydock in 1953. They ventured to Australia in 1964, remained for three years and once again returned to England. In 2000, Grace returned to Canada to be closer to her son and his family. Grace worked for many years as a Sister/Nurse in all three countries and was an active member of the Anglican Church. Her great love was her family and she enjoyed being with them and caring for them. Grace will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Glyn and Connie of Calgary; her grandchildren, Louise, Lorna, all of England, Christa, Carly, and Drew, all of Calgary; her great-grandchildren, Ross, Bethany, Saffron, Amy, Lucas, and Mia, all of England; as well as her nephew Ken and his wife Edna Forshaw of England. She was predeceased by her husband David Emlyn, her parents, her brothers and a sister. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, November 22, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
