ECCLES, Gordon Francis January 9, 1957 - December 2, 2009 It is with great sadness that Gord was suddenly taken from us. Born in Victoria, Gord grew up in Vancouver and lived a very full and adventurous life. Miner, union organizer, and businessman, Gord excelled at everything he did. He was a brilliant, progressive thinker and a wonderful speaker. He was a man of uncommon grace, immense generosity and quiet strength. Gord was a proud member of the Tunnel and Rock Workers' Union, a life-long New Democrat who served in many capacities and an elected Master of Meridian Lodge No. 108. Most recently, Gord used his talents to build a successful small business in the Langley area. We will celebrate his life on Saturday, March 6 at 2 pm at Meridian Hall at 4306 Victoria Drive, Vancouver, B.C. We will have a microphone open to all, food and laughter... just as Gord would have wanted.
