Allen, Gordon F. SOUTH GLENS FALLS Gordon F. Allen, 71, a resident of South Glens Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Glens Falls Hospital. He was born on May 11, 1940 in Glens Falls and was the son of the late Francis and Shirley (Shutleff) Allen. Prior to his retirement in 1998, Gordon was employed for 37 years as a supervisor for Nibco in South Glens Falls. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy serving between 1959 - 1961. Gordon was very personal and outgoing who enjoyed spending time with his family and golfing buddies. He was a communicate of St. Michael's Church and Kingswood Golf Club. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid Siena College basketball fan. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ann (Ruth) Allen of South Glens Falls; two sons, Bryan Allen of Corinth and Craig Allen of Clifton Park; two grandchildren, Michael Allen of Hudson Falls and Dakota Allen of Corinth; one sister, Bonnie Williams and her husband Richard of Ga., several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Misty. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours scheduled. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls.
