CAIRNS, Gordon Douglas Gordon Douglas Cairns, 1931 to 2010, passed away peacefully at his home in Vancouver in April. A long time truck driver and warehouseman, Gordy loved the racetrack, English football, poker nights with his work buddies, and fishing off Storey's Beach near Port Hardy. He will be remembered for his devotion to wife Lois especially during the last ten years of her life. Lois predeceased him by three years. Also predeceased by three brothers and one sister, Gordon is survived by stepson and daughter-in-law Rick and Carol Beardsley, granddaughter Andrea (Dave), grandson Marc (Say), great grandson Max, and nieces and nephews. He had two sons from a previous marriage. In keeping with Gordon's wishes there will not be a funeral service. An open house will be held at the family home.
