REID, Gordon Allan July 25, 1929 - August 14, 2006 Born in Pickering Township, Ontario Gordon passed away quietly in his sleep at his home in Warburg, surrounded by his family. Gordon is survived by his loving and caring wife, Jo-Anne; sisters, Eileen Tobin, Marion Housser, Eleanor Sproxton, Dale (Dave) Traynor, Donna (Bill) Besant; and brother, Frank (Darlene) Reid. Left to cherish Gordon's memory are his children, Don (Anita), Ken (Joan), Joanne (Nick) Phipps, Laura (Floyd) Barnes all of Fort McMurray, and Cathy (Dean) Klemmer, of Airdrie; as well as seven step-daughters, Diane (Jim) Reid of Calgary, Loretta (Don) Welsh of Innisfail, Judy (Pat) Liske and Shirley (Don) Podlubney both of Hinton, Liz Hanson of Chase, B. C., Christina (Dave) Olson of North Vancouver, and Karen (Doug) Prentice of Powell River; including 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews with an additional two great-grandbabies arriving in September. At Gordon's request, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of Gordon's life will take place on Friday, August 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Warburg Community Hall.
