-> Vidalia - Mrs. Gladys Hall Chapman, 90, a resident of the Bethany Nursing Center, of Vidalia died Sunday, January 8, 2006 after an extended illness. She was a native of Emanuel County, moving to Vidalia in 1981 and was a retired caretaker of the Button Gwinnett House on Saint Catherines Island. Mrs. Chapman is survived by three sons and daughters -in-law, George and Sarah Chapman of Vidalia, Ben and Louise Chapman and Ralph and Virginia Chapman both of Richmond Hill; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren as well as several step grandchildren, step great -grandchildren, several step great -great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home and also following the service on Wednesday at Corinth Baptist Church, Highway 144 East, Richmond Hill, GA. Graveside funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2005 at Burnt Church Cemetery near Richmond Hill, GA., with Reverend Ed Cadle officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Nursing Center, P.O. Box 668, Vidalia, GA. 30475.
