WOODCOCK _ George, born in Dundee, Scotland on August 3rd, 1916, passed away April 24th, 2006. George was predeceased by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Emma and his sister Beth. George is survived by his daughters Nancy and Lyn (Ron), grandchildren Leanne (Doug), Darren (Tanya), Kelly (Jim), Jennifer (Mark) and Kyle, great-grandchildren Shanelle, Braelyn, Colton, Aubree, Nathan and Cody. George was raised in North Vancouver and eventually became a long time Burnaby resident. He spent most of his career as an executive working for Kelly Douglas and Co. George was an impeccable dresser and had a zest for life. He loved traveling, skiing, boating, fishing and golf. After retiring, George and Emma spent many years on Bowen Island and became part of the 'Bowen Island community' with their many friends and neighbours who lived there. George and Emma's later years were spent in Langley where they both further enjoyed their retirement years. After a long and full life, George passed away peacefully on April 24th at Langley Memorial Hospital. A Memorial Service to celebrate George's life will be held at Deer Lake United Church, at 5135 Sperling Ave., Burnaby, on Friday, June 2, 2006 at 12:00 noon. A reception will follow.
