WEBER, George Brankin April 6, 1925 - October 30, 2010 Dad earned his angels wings on October 30, 2010 after a long battle with Alziemer's. He was born April 6, 1925 to Agnes and George Weber. Predeceased by both and also sisters Eileen Heslop Creer, Dorthy Bradford (Bo) nephew Peter Bradford and son-in-law Al Twidle. Survived by elder sister Jessie of West Van. and wife (60 years) Lois. Also survived by his 3 children David (Lois), Mike and Kathy and 2 grandchildren Andrea and Katlyn Twidle, nephews Brian (Dianne) and Brent (Pat). George grew up in Vancouver. Joined the air force at 17 years old. He trained as a air gunner and later as a pilot. Graduated from UBC with a double degree - Bach of Arts and Bach of Education. Taught industrial arts in Chilliwack after marrying Lois in 1950. Moved to Van. and taught at Jericho Hill School for the blind and deaf in 1960. Retired after 35 years of teaching and moved to North Delta. A wonderful husband and father to his own kids as well as a few of the neighborhood kids. Enjoyed sailing, summers at the family cottage in White Rock, trips to Lake Tahoe, and travel. He will be lovingly missed by his family. Flower gratefully declined donations to the Alziemer's Society would be appreciated. Services will be held on Monday, November 8 at 2:00 pm at Fraser Heights Chapel, 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey, BC.
