PATTERSON George L. Patterson, Jr., 76, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002. He was a native of Lumberton, NC and had lived in Jacksonville since 1957. He was a WWII veteran and retired from the US Navy after 21 1 years of service. He was preceded in death by his son, John Robert Patterson and is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Patterson; 2 sons, Roy and Mark Patterson; daughter, Donna White; brothers, James M. and Robert H. Patterson & 2 grandchildren. Service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
