GALLAGHER George John 91, of Moonachie formerly of Jersey City on Nov. 18, 2007. He was a clerk for Railroad Express retiring in 1977, then a custodian for Moonachie Bd. of Ed. retiring in 1992. George served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. from 1935-1939 and was a veteran of WWII involved in D-Day and awarded the Purple Heart . He was a parishioner of St. Margaret of Cortona RC Church Little Ferry, as well as a member of the Moonachie Senior Club, the V.F.W. and the Ambulance Corp. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Stacy). Cherished father of Judy Sullivan of Ridgewood. Devoted Grandfather of Kevin and Sean. Caring brother of Bernard of Manchester and Elizabeth of Elizabeth, NJ. Funeral Wednesday 9 AM from Kohler Funeral Home, 280 Hackensack Street, Wood-Ridge. Mass 9:30 AM St. Margaret R.C. Church. Cremation Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Visitation Tuesday 3-5 and 7-9.
