OSBORNE, George Amos, 58, of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014. George was born at home in Margate City, NJ on September 10, 1955. He attended Margate public schools and graduated from Atlantic City High School. George was a partner in the Photo Center in Atlantic City for 30 years until its closing in 2003. He had a love of the ocean and beach. His hobbies included surfing, sailing, and photography. George is survived by sisters Carol Wagener, Carolann Boyd, Janet Osborne-Boger, Shelly Osborne-Elonis, his brothers Edgar Osborne III, and Matthew Osborne, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents Edgar and Helen Osborne and his brother Floyd Osborne. George is also survived by his companion, Art Battista of Pompano Beach. In lieu of flowers, any contributions can be made in George's name to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, PO Box 016960 (M-867) Miami, FL 33101 or online at www.sylvester.org. Burial will be private followed by a celebration of life.
