Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Village Chapel for Gary Ray "Tex" Williams, 42, Gadsden, who died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008. The Rev. Johnny Newell will officiate. Burial will be at private family cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.Mr. Williams was a carpenter, working in construction for many years. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly Renae Williams; and mother, Mary Jane Williams.He is survived by his children, Jessica Elrod Reynolds, Eric John Williams and Gary Ray Williams II; grandchildren, Courtany and Natalie Reynolds; father, David Delone Williams; stepmother, Madolyn Carol Williams; sisters, Angela Elaine Thompson and Linda (Kenneth) Wagner; brothers, David Williams and Marcus (Janie) Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews who were all his favorites.Pallbearers will be cousins and friends.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
